Chameleons
Today we will learn some things about chameleons. Chameleon is known as one of the few animals which can change their skin. There are 158 different species of chameleon belonging to the family "Chamaeleonidae". Today we'll learn information about 3 species: Panther chameleon (first image), Namaqua chameleon (second image) and Parson's (third image). Panther chameleon can live 5 years. It can reach 40 to 52 centimeters and it weighs about 250 grams. This specie is colorful. The female changes colour only when it is pregnant, to declare that it's not available for coupling, while the male changes its colour depending from its mood. Panther chameleon lives in Madagascar and Reunion island. Namaqua chameleon can reach 60 to 65 centimeters. Unfortunately, I didn't found facts about its life duration and its weight. During cool mornings Namaqua chameleons are black and when the temperature is higher they're paler. They live in South Africa, between Namibia and North Angola. It eats crickets, grasshoppers (locusts), beetles and small snakes. Parson's chameleon can reach 50 to 60 centimeters and it leaves in forests of North and East Madagascar. It eats insects. It has a flat horn. It leaves in trees and it goes down for only 1 reason, when it wants to give birth to its eggs.
