Cat is one of the most popular pets. On this post there are some interesting facts about cats. This post is dedicated to my lovely friend, Stefania. She's a very good friend and a hugmaster (I love her hugs)!

1) Cats are the most popular pet in the United States: There are 88 million pet cats and 74 million dogs.
2) Cats have powerful night vision, a powerful sence of smell and excellent hearing!
3) A group of cats is called a clowder. A male cat is called a tom, a female cat is called a molly or queen and young cats are called kittens.
4) Cats are very flexible.
5) A cat’s brain is 90% similar to a human’s — more similar than to a dog's!
6) Cats hate the water because their fur does not insulate well when it’s wet. The Turkish Van, however, is one cat that likes swimming. Bred in central Asia, its coat has a unique texture that makes it water resistant.
7) There are cats who have survived from falls, over 320 meters onto concrete.
8) A cat can jump up to six times its length.
9) When cats leave their poop uncovered, it is a sign of aggression to let you know they don’t fear you.
