Sharks

Hey! How are you? Today we will learn facts about sharks. There are more than 350 species of sharks. They have different, some of them are very small and some of them are very big. Let's start with the White shark. White Shark (first image) is one of the most terrifying creatures. It can reach 8 meters and it usually weighs approximately 2 tons. White shark can live 35 years and eats seals, dolphins and big fish. They have been many attacks to people by white sharks. White sharks live almost everywhere, where the temperature is between 12 and 14, but the most of them prefer to live in USA, South Africa, Australia, Japan and Mediteranian sea. Leopard shark (second image) can reach 2 meters, its weight can reach 32 kilos and it can live 30 years. Its sensory orgns on its nose allowing it to find its prey, which is buried in the mud. Its impressive drawings on its body makes this shark known to fishers. It an eat crabs, shrimps, eggs of fish, fish etc. Whale shark (third image) is the biggest fish in the world. It can live 70 years, it can reach 14 meters and it weighs over 12 tons. Whale shark's mouth can reach 1,5 meters, its a filter-feeding shark! Its mouth makes it seem dangerous, but it is tottaly undangerous. This shark eats plankton. While whale shark is very slowly it can dive mora than 1,000 meters (about 1,800 meters deep), in order to find eggs. Basking shark (fifth image) is the second biggest fish after the whale shark. It is filter-feeding, like whale shark. Basking shark can live 40 years, it can reach 15 meters and its weight can reach 6 tons. He eats while swimming and its very big mouth is open! This shark is found worldwide in boreal to warm-temperate waters. Basking shark's colour is usually grey-brown. Many people call basking shark "bone shark", "elephant shark", "hoe-mother", "sail fish" or "sun-fish". The last shark for today is Hammerhead shark. Hammerhead shark (forth image) lives in groups, which includes over 100 hammerhead sharks. A hammerhead shark can reach 6 meters, its weight can reach 580 kilos. It's usually light gray and it has a greenish tint. Hammerhead sharks can be found in warm tropical waters, but during the summer they participate in a mass migration to search for cooler waters. Another interesting shark is the Great Hammerhead shark, but unfortunately I am not going to write facts about this shark at the moment.
